Less flowing, more thinking
I wrote seven hours on my Tami book yesterday. It was flowing. It was nice. And I now discover a new challenge about working on a thing for a longer time. The problem is that I get new ideas.
Yesterday I started giving a side character so much attention and weight, that I basically created another big plot line. Ups. Obviously, I kind of like it, but also, trying to see the whole picture, I wonder how much it’s serving the story. Is it not pulling away too much from the original core idea?
Things become complicated haha. I have to think hardern now.
Not forgetting what I already wrote also becomes a thing with this WIP. And I cannot not analyse it anymore. I can not just flow around. Things have to be more intentional here with this one. It's easier to get distracted or write inconsistent stuff.
Honestly, that makes me want to finish this book as soon as possible.
I am on 15.000 words now. I still need at least three chapters. So that’s not too much. I really have to pull the strings together in a smart way now. Also the plot twist is.. tricky.
Well, I am excited about this story and already kind of proud. It's more complex than my other books which makes it more interesting, but also more prone to mistakes. And I really want to write a fun, weird, good book here.
I guess the first test is my test reader test-reading it. Then I see if my plan works out and how much I have to edit. Exciting :)
