Editing & feedback (and avoiding it)
Very excited right now but also very much avoiding the last steps with my Tami story. I have a version ready, but it still needs some editing. Every time I re-read it, I change stuff. I think it’s good and means I am improving the story, but it's also annoying to not see the ending in sight.
I gave two people (that I don't know) my story to read and right now I’m waiting to get their feedback (if I get any, really). I’m very curious since this story is not very straight-forward. It’s a bit weird and maybe confusing. So, I am ready to get any kind of feedback. I was wondering how well I will handle feedback since I very much like my story and I do feel a bit proud of it (more than the previous one). What if people don’t like it? What if all the things that make the story good for me just fly right over everybody else’s head? Could happen. I will see.
Ah, I didn’t say what I am avoiding: More editing (It's a pain). Also: I should look for more readers to test the story. But I feel also shy about it, asking people for help. So yeah, another thing I am avoiding. But ok, step by step.
