Some thoughts about how to publish my "Tami"-story

My short novel “Tami” is almost done. I had beta readers beta-read my story, I rewrote and edited some parts and things. I need to fix one more thing and the story is good to go! (I mean a lot is still missing, like formatting, cover etc. But I mean the story itself)

Now I wonder if you should try to publish it traditionally. Should I try?? Should I send it away and see if I get any answers? I do think the story isn’t too bad really, but I also don’t think it’s easy to find a publisher. Also, why do I even want to do that? (Maybe self-publishing is actually more fitting for me?) One reason is that I would love to hear some professional feedback, even if it won’t work out in the end. I don’t know. It could be exciting to try.

Or I chicken out before even trying. It will probably do that.

Well, another thing I am thinking about is my pen name. I’m thinking about changing it. The biggest reason is that I don’t like my old one much anymore. I guess I could also use a new one now just for this new book, since it is quite different than the books I published before. But I don’t know. Maybe it’s annoying to handle two pen names. Anyone who has experience with this?

How I am feeling right now? I am happy to finish this book soon, so I can start a new one haha. I am happy about how the story turned out. And I am happy that I finally had the courage to find beta-readers. It was really helpful and felt very special!
